Stargate Crewing implements an uncompromising code of conduct in its business. Our commitment to personal integrity and business ethics goes beyond our respect for the law; it applies to any and all aspects of business activity, from search, selection, recruitment, briefing to personnel retention, marketing initiatives and accounting practices.

We do business honestly, ethically and legally under all circumstances. We will always do the right thing and never tolerate illegal or unethical conduct on the part of our employees, seafarers, candidates and recruits, nor allow their personal interests to come in conflict with the interests of the company, our clients and their affiliates.

Our employees, seafarers, candidates and recruits must be vigilant against implicating the company’s reputation in unscrupulous activities, and refrain from promoting their personal interests at the cost of the company and its clients. Any illegitimate financial reward or payoff, as well as payment in kind, shall be deemed in conflict with Stargate principles and dealt with immediately and forcefully.

No bribes, kickbacks or financial reward shall be given or taken by any person or agency in order to influence business. Stargate people shall avoid gifts, gratuities, fees, bonuses or excessive entertainment in order to influence business.

Proprietary, confidential and sensitive business information related to individuals, clients, companies and vessels shall be treated with the strictest of confidence and only divulged to secured or authorized recipients on a need-to-know basis.

We will assume full ownership of our mistakes and shortcomings and do our best to resolve any matters that arise at the shortest possible time. Out values are based on the following pillars:

Open, honest communication: We benefit when everyone can speak their mind, when employees feel comfortable raising uncomfortable issues of ethics. Employees are encouraged to address such issues with their managers so that problems can be resolved swiftly top down integrity diligent adherence to the law

Top down integrity: Senior managers are responsible for demonstrating integrity. Managers should not consider employee ethics concerns as threats or challenges to their authority, but take prompt action to addressing ethical questions or concerns raised by employees

Strict adherence to rules: Stargate’s commitment to integrity begins with a total complying with laws, rules and regulations where we do business. Also, each of us must fully understand the company policies, rule and regulations that apply to our specific roles

No conflicts of interest: No relationship or activity must impair, or seem to impair, our ability to make objective and fair decisions when doing our job. We must refrain from using Stargate property or information for personal gain or personally seek to benefit from circumstances arising in the line of duty

Respect for everyone: We encourage a workplace where everybody is treated with dignity and respect. Stargate is committed to creating such a workplace because it brings out the best in each of us. Any harassment or discrimination faced by employees or seafarers should be reported to management immediately
